Remote Tech Support: Help Without the Wait

Many computer problems don't need anyone to visit. With your permission, Techy2U can securely connect to your computer, see what you see, and fix the issue while you watch.

Sound familiar?

  • "My email stopped working."
  • "A program won't install or keeps crashing."
  • "I can't find a setting or a file."
  • "My computer is showing a strange pop-up."
  • "I need help setting up a new account or app."

How remote tech support works

Remote support uses screen-sharing software that you start yourself. You stay in control: you can see everything that happens and end the session at any time. We never ask for your passwords through a form, and we don't keep access after the session.

It's a good fit for software issues, settings, email, printers that are already connected to the network, and guidance on how to do something. If we discover a hardware problem, we'll tell you and recommend next steps.

What's included

  • Software installation and troubleshooting
  • Email and account setup
  • Settings and performance checks
  • Printer and device configuration over the network
  • Step-by-step guidance while we work

What's not included

  • Hardware repairs (these need hands-on service)
  • Issues on a computer that can't connect to the internet
  • Unattended access without your permission

Who it's for

Anyone with an internet-connected computer who would rather get help quickly than wait for an appointment.

Remote or on-site?

Available remotely. Coverage outside the local area depends on the service and will be confirmed when you request help.

Questions about remote tech support

Is remote support safe?

Yes, when done correctly. You start the session, you can see every action, and you can disconnect at any time. Be cautious of anyone who calls you unexpectedly offering remote 'support'. Techy2U only connects when you've requested it.

What if remote support can't fix it?

We'll explain why and suggest an in-person visit or another option.

Do I need to install anything?

A small, reputable screen-sharing tool is typically used. We'll walk you through it.
